I go to garden center and buy them already growing. Most of them are perennials. I love sages, they come in lovely verigated colors, and thyme is easy, chives are super easy, and they seed so be careful with those. I keep them all in pots, and can move them around.
Depends of which herbs you are asking about. Some, like chives, will spread out of control if you don't keep them contained or trimmed back. Some need more sunlight, some more shade. Internet search for specific herbs.
Hello, I am using a self watering patio planter for tomatoes and annual herbs for the first time and its pretty awesome results. Its an alternative idea to think about.
I used pots in previous years. Lawns turf can have chemicals and other contamination.....Im using this box with organic planting soil.
