My Grandmother didn't weave them, she made braided rugs out of all of our worn out and disgarded clothing. You cut them into strips, then fold them over from the outside to centers (she had cones that she used to do this. You pulled the material through the cones and it was folded evenly to braid.) Then you braid the strips just like you would hair. Then sew the braids together at the edges. She made round and oval rugs for the floors and they were heavy and warm.
