i just bought a wasp trap with instruction for mixing a cup of apple juice and 1/4 of sugar then add a tiny piece of meat or cat food because wasps are also carnivorous. That concoction is put in a 2 liter soda bottle and the traps are just plastic bits that hold open slits in the bottle. It help the scent drift out to lure the wasp in a tiny opening so they get trapped inside. I wonder if the little yellow plastic traps would be needed if you just cut tiny holes in the top sides of the bottle. Hang it away from your porch, patio or play areas.
PS if you just have honey bees be nice to them because our food crops depend on them and they are becoming endangered.

The blues and greens tend to blend in more and won’t be what a pest would potentially flock to.
