If the shower curtain is plastic you can immerse it in a bucket with a gallon of water and cup of bleach. Allow to soak for a day. Use a scrub brush where I assume you have mold. Drip dry or hang in the sunshine.
Just put it into the washer with a bit of detergent and some vinegar if you have mold. No fabric softener. Use vinegar in the rinse cup. Set on gentle cycle. I hang up right out of the washer to air dry. Works for plastic as well as fabric.
I was mine in my washer as part of a load. I'll even put it in the dryer for a few minutes to soften it so that the wrinkles come out. I take it out of the dryer after only a few minutes then hang it right away. Don't let it get too hot. Don't leave it in the dryer. Stay there for just a few minutes to take it out.
