I used plastic edging and put that into the ground, and filled the area between the pool and edge with round gravel. The kids love using the round pebbles to dive and grab in the water!
We used metal edging from Lowe's. It bends easily and will go into ground easily too. Then, we filled it in with gravel or river rock
