Can I make my own paintable anti fatigue rugs?

The knock off brands deteriorate rapidly. This is one time I suggest purchasing from a restaurant supply or purchase name brand in store or on line. You can always paint to match your decor. After my first back surgery it became a necessity, not a want. I drag mine wherever I go.
