Just an fyi. White and off white trim is still more desired over stained woodwork in interior design and resale. Lite trim makes rooms look larger, dark trim shrinks the look of the room.
Hi, You used to be able to buy in Uk a product that did this. (two tins in a box) One was the base colour of the wood and the other was a thick varnish the colour of the grain. It was done by dry brush dragging of varnish over base coat. You can , or could also buy a Graining tool. Might be worth looking into.
