They are yellowing

  • Hi, Bur23847051!

There are a few options to clean cabinets that have yellowed: a Mr. Clean Stain Eraser with mild dish soap in warm water can be used to scrub them. If that doesn’t work, a TSP Substitute can be used but it may degloss the cabinets at the same time. Another option would be to use the TSP substitute then repaint the cabinets. I hope this helps!

Were they painted with oil based paint? If they are yellowing from just use/dirt, use a cleaner that degreases. If you can't get them clean, you might have to sand and repaint them.

If a factory finish it's probably a lacquer or oil based finish. That happens with age. All you can do is refinish/ paint. Be careful not to use latex without extreme prep. Or it could peel. Best just to redo in oil.
