How can I repair the feet on this China Hutch (pic attached)?
This is the underside of my China cabinet hutch base. It’s three-quarter inch oak veneer plywood on three sides and double thickness MDF on the back. You can see that the leveling feet were clamped onto the MDF. That has failed over the decades from the weight of the dishes inside the cabinet and from being moved 1200 miles. What do you think about this?: My solution is to put 2 x 4 pieces along the entire front and the entire back, on the inside. Glue, screw and clamp them into place. And then put in at least two, maybe three, crossbars glued and screwed. Then I would use a different kind of glide foot. Alternatives greatly appreciated.

It’s cracked on the seating area and I would really love to repair it.
I think you figured it out. Good luck.
I was going to suggest the same thing with one more thing do the sides with a 2x4 also to support the load.
Yep, your solution is exactly what I would do.
I agree your solution would be the best bet and will be sturdier than before.
Do the new ribbing as you were thinking, then maybe locking wheels (like for a tool chest) for feet. They will take the load and make the unit fairly easy to move even when loaded. Not super pretty but could probably be disguised.
