Hi Grace, I found this article with a video that will show you how to clean the mirror in 4 different ways - https://www.wikihow.com/Clean-a-Cloudy-Mirror
Hello Grace,
If caused by age! it is most prized by those of us that love antiques!! Nobody wants an antique mirror frame with new clear glass in it - it devalues it!!
If caused when in the bathroom - steam! Wipe over mirror with shaving soap and then wipe off, leaving a residue in place, this will prevent it from steaming up when you have a bath or shower........... Hope that helps.
If you've stopped looking into a mirror because it's cloudy, it's time to clean it! Youprobably already have the supplies you need to restore the mirror. For a quick fix, dip a microfiber cloth in vinegar and wipe it onto the mirror. You can also rub shaving cream onto the cloudy mirror and wipe away the cream.

The silvering on the back of the mirror may be breaking down. I've seen projects where people used spray paint to attempt to fix it. Professional resilvering is pricey but can be used to restore a mirror.
