Make twin blanket out of king blankets

  • Hi, Dotty!

The king-size blankets can be cut in half lengthwise with a contrasting bias tape or blanket binding sewn around the edges. I hope this helps!

If you fold the blanket in half sew it together then bind it with blanket binding. Then you will have a weighted blanket without the expense

I would also fold them in half lengthwise and use that fold to cut one in half.

Half a king is a twin. My problem was my king was an XL, lots of tucken 🤣. But it works.

Cut the excess length off the XL King first so that it becomes a standard length, then use the extra fabric to sew up a cozy pillow sham.

Then cut the king down the centre making 2 standard sized twins.

You'll need to hem them once cut.
