What size water pump do I need for 100 gal. cascading water feature?

How big of a water pump is needed for approximately 100 gallons cascading water feature.

    Look at the Gallons/minute rating as well as vertical pump height. Both of those numbers are maximums and many larger pumps will have an adjustment to scale back the volume of needed.

    I would look at how tall your water feature is and how much volume you'll need spilling over and consider over-buying the pump size rather than choosing the smallest that will work.

    Hi Rhonda, if you want to keep the pond running clean you want a higher pressure pump, I have a 160 gallon pond with an 1100/gph pump it lifts up about 4 feet and has a lengthy distance and it handles it well, makes good noise and it keeps the pond (with Koi) clear, also think about a filter system at the same time. I also use a snmall barley bale to reduce algae growth.
