There is a product that can be purchased online from Carol Wright products, which discourages racoons and friends!!

You need a baffle underneath the feeder so that squirrels and raccoons cannot climb.

Baffles are great n red pepper seeds in the feeder mixed with the seed...it sticks to their paws in when they eat it it’s hot or when they try to clean themselves it gets in their eyes...works for me

The raccoons do not like the smell of Pinesol, dampen rags and put them near the birdfeeder.
