I'm not sure that's going to work the way you want it to, oil and water don't mix, but you can certainly try it out on a test piece to see what happens.
Wax is wax, and oil is oil even if it is saturated oil.... I think it would be a greasy mess IMHO
I have used a butchers wax- it may be more economical as a generic substitute.

Really don't think.that would work. Sounds like it would be a big mess.
