How do I make a hanger for my garden hose?

We didn't want to harm our siding, but we came up with a quick fix. We bought one of those hose bangers that you put on the outside wall and then purchased one of those heavy metal garden stakes that you pound into the ground and put it a few inches away from the house. We attached the hose hanger to it using strong zip ties and it is still there four years later with no problem and didn't have to attach it to the house. The whole thing was really cheap and still easy to use.

one of the first thing I saw when I found Hometalk was an adorable one using an 8' 2 x 4. They cut off a piece about 2' long. Dig a hole and put the long piece in the ground, dump in a small bag of cement, make sure it is level, add water and let it set up. Take the piece you cut off and screw it to the top of the piece sticking out of the ground. To that center a plastic flower pot and screw it into place. Get a large hook from walmart to accommodate the hose and screw it to the front of the upright post. Hang your hose and plant flowers in the pot. Decorative, simple and cheap.
