Assuming you have a stove with a glass top, use vinegar and water mix. If it has burned on spots, baking soda on them, spray with vinegar & water to make a paste. Put a hot rag over the whole area. Should clean up very nicely!

Clorox cleanup and a scrubby I use

SPRAY WITH CINCH -- and wipe off the gunk-- don't even need to rinse!!! DO NOT use any metal or any sort of abrasive cleanser-scub pads etc ... will scratch and damage the surface. SOFT rags ONLY!
