You need to take everything out, unplug scrub down with vinegar. Pour baking soda on bottom, leave open for a few days. Wash out soda, turn back on close up. See if works. If not do again.
My vote is to take everything out, clean it and then replace the items. Then keep a box of baking soda in there and change once a month. Use the spent soda in your drains and toilets to keep them fresh too.
