Get RID of excess - opens UP the space. Excessive stuff crowds a small space ... also paint the walls BRIGHT WHITE! That will "open" the space immensely--- use MORE mirrrs too, that helps to create the DELUSION of a larger room!
Thanks 🙏
sounds great
Do you need all that stuff? I would get rid of as much as possible it feels small because it's crowded.
Less is more in a small room, and keep the scale of the furniture smaller in keeping with the small area. Decorate in monochromatic shades of the same color and lighter in shade value, in other words pick your color and get a paint chip that shows the various shades. Chose that for your paint color and even fabric colors for furniture and upholstry to maximize your room.
I agree with everyone who has said remove everything in the room that you no longer need, or are not using. Sell, or donate; don't merely relocate it to another area of the home.
The goal is to decorate the room so that it is inviting to enter and attractive to live in, not just to be a catch-all space for extra stuff.
Hi Hilde, I think in a small room you are better to have lots of places to "hide" things as a small room looks cluttered, I see you have a cabinet and some drawers there, if you add a few more of these or a shelf or two it would reduce the clutter look. You can add pretty items to the shelves and on top of the drawers, and hang some nice pictures on the walls. Think about an inviting color for the walls like a soft blue.
