Budget Hall Bathroom Makeover

Updating a builder grade bathroom on a budget. Our hall bathroom was totally builder grade with stock cabinets, cheap toilet and slab mirror. Time for an update to bring it into this decade.

We have been redoing most every room in our home over the last 2 1/2 years, this was one of the last rooms to get a makeover.

This is what we started with. Simple builder grace vanity, toilet & slab mirror.

My guys got here at 7 AM and immediately had the room gutted.

Before I could take too many pictures, they had replaced several strips of flooring with some that I have. Next they were dry fitting the vanity and one guy almost had the toilet installed.

The new medicine cabinet was much larger than the old one, so they had to cut a bigger hole and redo the studs so they could install the new one.

Three hours later they were done. New vanity, toilet, medicine cabinet, mirror and baseboards all caulked, painted and cleaned. Now it was time for me to decorate.

I love how it turned out. I think this is a major upgrade on a really small budget. This bathroom now looks so much more custom, not builder grade at all.

This is amazing! I have the exact same bathroom which is still at builders grade stage and I’ve been itching to have it redone forever. You have inspired me! I love everything you’ve done. You have great style!
