Try OrangeGlo. It's what my cabinet builder recommended and it works great for all wood I've used it on so far.

    Murphy's Oil Soap.

First you have to clean them really well, because grease has probably built up. I use either Windex and a microfiber cloth or a few drops of Dawn in water with a microfiber cloth.

After that You can try Murphy's oil or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVvREFUhmoQ

probably dull from wax,oil & grease build up & dirt sticking to them do not use any alcohol base products it will make finish sticky/stickier try the orange glo(kathy suggests) or just a good degreaser ; ammonia & warm water will cut wax build up wghen clean just use good dry oil on them like tung, walnut, hemp or boiled linseed stay away from waxy stuff or oily soapy products.

    Hello again,

If you wish to paint the cabinets, Use (ESP) Primmer and then undercoat and then Satin top coat. Use something like "Brush Runner Pro" sold on TV

or a Roller and brush. Good luck!
