Hi Elizabeth, We used the wire racks that the sell for closet organizing. This way I can store things on them, use them as drying racks, laying out clothes on the top if needed and hang clothes underneath. Any home improvement center has a multitude of brackets to choose from as well as pre-cut shelving in different sizes. You can paint or stain the wood to coordinate with you decor.

I would first determine how wide you want them and then if you want more than 1 or 2 high. And what weight do you want them to hold? That will help you determine what brackets you need.
