How can I makeover my old bowing deck?

    Hi Carla, it sounds as if you may need to add some support under your bowing deck. When that is done correctly it should help with the bowing and also make it much more safe. As an interim fix, you might be able to use floor jacks.

    Sand it down and re-stain or Paint it a different colour or colours........

    You may need to replace or add to your support joists. Look underneath to see if any are broken. May need to have a pro look at it to make sure it is structurally sound.

    Hello again,

    Sorry somehow I read Bowling instead of Bowing- apologies!

    Sounds as if the supports underneath are the problem, either they need to be replaced or added to (too much of a space between them or too much weight on them (Not strong enough). Best wishes.
