How do I get foot oil out of carpeting?

Certain areas show this, eg. in front of a recliner and a larger area coming in from stairs. It's from wearing socks in the house.

I bought a can of spray "Spot Shot" and it took out grease, mascara and lipstick stains in my carpet. I bought mine at Dollar General, but certain other store sell it.

You could also try baby powder and let it sit for a day or so. Good luck!

Hi Janet, hope this helps you

Mix one quart of water with one-fourth teaspoon of dishwashing liquid. Make sure the dishwashing liquid is a brand that doesn't contain lanolin or bleach. Apply this water and dishwashing liquid mixture with a sponge directly onto the stain. Blot the affected area of the carpet until the oil stain is no longer visible

Dishwashing liquid removes grease from just about anything, i use it on everything that has grease stains, clothing, pet beds, floors, patio furniture, door mats and carpets.

Thanks lots! Regular electric carpet cleaner took it out for awhile. It came back. Probably needed a more deeper clean.
