How should I hang a mirror off of a garden wall?

    Hi Syliva, you might want to consider mounting the mirror on a piece of plywood first before putting it in place. That would provide a good support for it as well.

    Plywood is definitely the way to go. There are some considerations though. Use screws to secure the plywood. If you nail it you’ll run the risk of cracking the glass. For screws make sure you use brass or stainless steel so they won’t rust and possibly leave brownish colored stains on the frame. You should also seal the area where the plywood meets the frame with caulking to keep water from damaging the back of the mirror glass and the frame. Lastly...seal the entire frame with polyurethane, spar varnish, or some other such product

    If the foundation/frame of the mirror is not rated for outside use, it will very soon begin to rot and disintegrate.
