The vinegar should have killed the spores but the evidence remains. You can bleach the evidence off. Also, my husband did a job for a lady and he purchased a mold removal product from Lowe's.

I would use Clorox as the last resort but you can use it effectively. Definitely dilute it if that's the product you use. There's a fairly new product "30 seconds" that isn't as strong as Clorox, read up on it. Also a few industrial cleaners that have bleach in them. Be careful if you have any plants nearby because anything with chlorine bleach will damage them.

Hello, Ive have used a bathroom bleach spray cleaner on mold seen on furniture, drywall walls and misc items( bottom of ping pong table) . My garage is unusually humid with certain areas have poor circulation and this works quite easily. Could your woodwork tolorate a spray bleach formula?

Vinegar will kill the mold spores, but won't remove the color. For the staining use bleach-be sure to wear gloves to protect yourself. If you are going to paint, I would recommend putting Kilz as a barrier before the paint.

White vinegar will kill the mold but it does not remove it. You need to "bleach" the staining from the area. Hydrogen peroxide will be your best bet to lift the staining but most likely you will have to scrape the paint, prime (Bullseye 1-2-3 is my recommendation), then paint.

I use White vinegar and water. if that does not work get some toilet bowl cleaning gel and let it sit on the mold for a few hours then scrub

  • Cleaning surfaces of mold with a mixture of ten parts water to one part bleach. ten parts bleach to twenty parts warm water, gentle. The wood's surface should be scrubbed down with the solution using a sponge or bristle brush.
