What can I put down to protect grass from lawn furniture?
I’m a renter in a house, need ideas on what to sit my lawn furniture in that won’t kill the grass but keep the furniture base fom being damaged when it rains?

Hi Denise, a "breathable" outdoor rug may work. It will still let the air flow so the grass won't die and it lets water through too.
I think that whatever you do, you'll still need to move it regularly. We have a small 2x3 section to decking our above ground pool ladder rests on and we need to move it weekly to a new area to allow the grass to revive. The lack of sun seems to be the biggest issue.
I'd suggest something portable or plastic furniture that can sit right on the grass without concern for damage.
If it also helps with comments this is the furniture set I have.
'Outdoor' rugs are not meant to go on top of grass.
Besides, it would not prevent the legs of the furniture from piercing down into the grass. It is the weight of the furniture, and the weight of persons sitting in the furniture that is not allowing the grass to continue growing.
