HI Jeannie. I painted a desk with chalk paint. All I did was wipe it down good with mineral spirits, and then applied a few coats of the chalk paint. After that was dry I applied a protective clear coat.
Hi Jeannie, chalk paint is the mot forgiving paint there is, make sure you sand your sure and that your surface is is clean and dry, then paint, usually 1 coat covers most.
Hi Jeannie! Using chalk paint is very easy but if you have never tried it before it can be a bit scary! Read up on how to do it, watch some videos, and begin with a small piece of furniture that you don't have alot of money invested in. I find that my best way to learn is by doing but I also do some research first so I don't make any mistakes that I don't have to! You will LOVE how easy using chalk paint really is and how you can transform older used furniture into stunning pieces for a relatively small amount of money! Have some fun and try it out!
