Bug spray doesn't work.
Take a cute 6 or 7" bottle with a small top and wider bottom. Pour 1/4 inch apple cider vinegar in bottom. Take a piece of paper about the size and weight of typewriter paper, bring 0ne corner over to form an L, cut off the bottom part and roll top part into a tube, put it into the bottle with small hole inside. Let it expand a little bit and tape the funnel with a piece of tape. Now you can decorate the heck out of this cute little bottle or you can put it behind something out of eye sight. Clean once a week.
We use these fruit traps from Amazon and they are the ONLY thing that works! We have one by the sink right now.

What I use is mint and sage. It really works. But you can also vinegar.
