Bay Window Makeover With Bamboo Shades
I found this tutorial that might help: https://biggerthanthethreeofus.com/diybambooshades/
Keep in mind that after dark, if the lights are on inside the room, this style/density of bamboo weave will not provide privacy.
They will be next to see-through.
I think you are trying to imitate "roll up bamboo shades". These have hardware to hang, and a way to keep them up. Not sure you can do this with a runner.
Are you thinking of draping it over a curtain rod? Or cutting it in the middle and making 2 thirty inch pieces and draping them over a rod? Not sure it would look good but you could try. If you just want to cover the window, you could use tacks to hold the runner up to the window....this all depends on the size of the window for you to do something like this.
