How do I paint so that I don't see the roller marks on the wall?

Make sure you have the correct type of roller and fully load the roller with paint. Paint in diagonal "V" pattern. All those things should eliminate them.

I make a 'W" then roll it out. Always keep a wet edge and overlap the edges.

I have painted many times using rollers and the marks disappear when the paint dries if I have applied the paint evenly and use a good quality paint. You might need to prime the wall first to get a good cover before painting? Just a thought, hope this helps Barbara.

If I were you I would use Paint Runner Pro as it is cleaner to do more efficient and no marks.....Otherwise you an ordinary roller.

Dark colors use a different base than light ones. Light colored paints have a lot of titanium dioxide pigment mixed with the binder. More color is added to this to create pale colors. The titanium dioxide naturally provides coverage. Darker colors require less titanium dixoide pigment in order to be dark. Overlap lines are more likely for a dark paint with less pigment coverage in the base.

Other things that can cause roller marks are: not rolling out excess paint on the tray before painting the wall; pressing too hard when rolling the paint on the wall; not rolling over the previous rolled wet edge.
