How can I remove scum from pots and pans?
Baking soda working really well. This article talks about how to clean the different types of pans: https://www.thespruce.com/baking-soda-and-pots-and-pans-1900441
You can use a brillo pad if its a metal pot, or a 3m green scrubby for ceramic pots and put some dish soap on it.
I recently discovered emery blocks which are like mr clean magic erasers with an emery surface for scrubbing. If it's very stubborn add barkeeper's friend. This is only if they are not coated surfaces.
If coated, use Scrub Daddy sponge to scrub the interior.
If baked on, you can boil some dishwasher powder dissolved to loosen.
what do you mean by "scum"grease, burnt on grease, rotten food?? what are the pans made of aluminum, stainless, copper, ceramic coated, glass, non stick coatings???
