I have used fans in the past to blow flies away from the food. A box fan works well if you have one.
Borrow fans you can place outside. I have 2 patio fans facing in towards the seating and dining area. Make sure the yard is clean and picked up. And work like a charm, pests hate the breeze and stay away.
