    Hi Dory,

Most succulents don't like a lot of direct sunlight. Whenever you buy a plant there should be a plastic stick on it that tells you what kind of light and water it needs. Check those sticks before you buy or look them up online. Here's an article that will give you some growing information. Wishing you the best.

they all require alot of sunlight/very brightlight to grow well, even bloom....... one rule with all plants the darker solid color green the leaves the less bright light they need, the more variagated/strpies/lighter colors in leaves the brighter the light they need to retain colors like yellow/red/orange/white.

Zone 9 too AZ desert some of mine all day sun they can take it if used to it (these actually bloom the most with reg. water) it is 108 today cooler/cloudy average summer temps 105-115 highest 120

  • All depends where you live. I am in Zone 9 in Southern California and have extremely low humidity. 105°Here today. If they were in the sun, they would fry. Mine stay in dappled shade from a fig tree on the north side of my house and live there year round. The further north or higher elevation, they can take more sun.
