How can I remove the smell of urine from my carpets?

Are you using urine eradicater products that kill the urine smell? For pets they are sold at pet stores like natures miracle. There are products for human urine also.,

If that doesn't help all you can do is remove the carpet and pad. Unfortunately per goes thru the carpet into the pad and sometimes into subfloor. Cleaning won't fix that and will continue to intice pets to wet more over those spots.

I use an oxygenated powder like Awesome Orange or OxyClean mixed with water in the canister of my steam cleaner instead of the commercial shampoo and then steam my carpets. (I have 3 cats and a dog who occasionally have accidents). After shampooing and letting your carpet dry completely, I use Arm & Hammer Carpet Fresh for Pets and let it sit, then vacuum. I get all of these items at the dollar store and they work great.

For urine you need to use an enzyme cleaner to get the smell neutralized. I use my carpet cleaner, and put the cleaner in the water reservoir. I like the tablets, as its stronger in removing he odor.... and why pay for water. Try a drop or two of lavender essential oil. It might take a few tries (a little bit at a time repeatedly is better than using more). It can remove the worst odors.
