The linoleum needs to be replaces. My husband worked for years in a partnership with his brother and they replaced many burn spots. He would find some linoleum under the cabinet or behind something that would not show and replace the burn spot with the spare piece he found out of sight. If you have such a place to gather some of the original linoleum it can be cut out and cut around the exact shape to replace the burned area. (He always cut the burned area using the new piece as the template. Then he glued it down and put the burned one onto the floor space that was out of sight and glued it back down. It is not easy and takes much skill and care to get it so it does not show. If there is a pattern in the linoleum like small squares, he would cut on the square lines to help hide the replacement. I was always amazed at how the new spot did not show it had been repaired! It can be done. If you know someone who works in the flooring business you might barter some work for them in exchange for their help as flooring repairs can be costly if you do not think you can do it.

You can't grow the linoleum back so you will need to replace it.

Is it a color that can be spot painted? Won't cover it completely but might "hide" it a little.
