I've used vinegar to remove the smell of vomit from my car. Fill a bowl and let it sit overnight to absorb the smell. Baking soda works too.
To clean the spill, I like folex carpet spray.
I like that stuff called Nok-Out. Takes out many odors. No masking perfumes either. Also available on amazon.
