Melt and pour soap is great to work with because you don't have to handle lye. You can really get creative with different ways to pour and using layers. This tutorial will teach you how to create a gradient and use several layers for a fun effect.

You'll need:

10 ounces white melt and pour soap

8 ounces clear melt and pour soap

1 teaspoon Unicorn Kisses natural fragrance oil

fine glitter

pink soap colorant

blue soap colorant

confetti sprinkles

rectangle soap mold

unicorn soap mold

pyrex measuring cup

spoon

Melt 4 ounces of white soap for 30 seconds in the microwave and add 1/4 teaspoon scent. Stir well. Pour into 4 of the cavities in the rectangle mold. Let set for 20 minutes.

While the first layer of white is setting up, melt 2 ounces of white for and add pink and blue colorant to make purple. Pour into the unicorn molds. I didn't add scent, but you can add 1/8 teaspoon if you'd like. Let set completely (about 20 minutes)

To make the gradient, you'll have to prop one side of the mold up. I just used the spiral edge of a notebook.

Melt 4 ounces of clear soap. Add 1/4 teaspoon scent, pink colorant, and glitter. Pour over the white. You want this to cover a little over half of the mold and try not to get it on the opposite side. Let cool for 20 minutes.

Lay the mold flat and melt 4 ounces of clear soap. Add blue color and glitter. Pour that on top of the pink, starting on the other side of the mold from the pink. They will overlap and create purple. Let cool for 20 minutes.

When the blue is set up, set your embed on top and add confetti sprinkles as desired.

Melt 4 ounces of clear soap and add 1/4 teaspoon scent. Carefully pour on top of the soap. Be careful not to get it on top of the unicorn because you won't be completely covering it.

Let sit for about 2 hours to completely harden. Then carefully unmold it.

I love how this soap turned out!

The two colors combine in the middle to make purple.
