You can purchase a duster from WalMart that's designed to clean these blinds, I think it's under $10. Definitely the way to go. It will clean 5 or so at one swipe.

I just use a swifter, close to do front side, reverse and do other side.

Put an old white sock on your hand and wipe off one slat at a time. It is time consuming but it will work. You can either use the sock dry or you can slightly dampen it. You can also take your blinds off the windows and clean them in the bathtub. Fill the tub with warm water and a squirt of dishsoap so the blinds are just covered. Let them soak for about 15 minutes. Use a soft hand brush to scrub them gently. Rinse. I hang mine out on the deck to dry. Putting them in the tub requires kneeling on the floor to give them a good clean scrub so you might try the sock first!

2 possible solutions - depending on how dirty they are.

    1. use a vacuum cleaner with a "duster" attachment
    2. pull them open, detach the top connectors and soak in the bathtub in a soapy solution.
