Can you give me ideas for making a toy box for my grandson?

my grandson is 3 yrs old and has his own bedroom/play room. He has a twin bed and a dresser with a mirror. He has his own bathroom. I need help and ideas on helping get his room organized. I would like to make a toy box.

A toy box is an excellent idea. You could always pad and add a back and it would do double duty as a toy box and a padded bench.

Storage Bin to Toy Box
We were going to build one but decided to purchase a bench with seating and customize it. It would less expensive than purchasing the material. This is her 1st birthday, she was 3 in February and it still looks like this. Scuffed with fine steel wool, cleaned with denatured alcohol, spray painted, then added the vinyl.
Make a frame using 1" square timber or thicker if you need it to be stronger (two oblongs and two squares) Join them together to make a box shape. Clad the box with timber or MDF. Make lid with Timber or MDF . Either hinge the back or make lid lift off. Hope that helps.
