White vinegar will kill the mold spores. Then you can try something like Krud Kutter to remove residue. Wet & forget outdoor is a good product to help prevent build up in the future.

I just did that with our umbrella. I used vinegar and water with a few drops of Dawn. Everything on mine came right off. Wishing you the best.
Vinegar will remove mold. Sun will usually take care of the rest.
