Mosquitoes hatch and thrive around water. Are there any dogs of stagnant water? Even old tires can hold rainwater. Dry up your yard, use granules or sprays and citronella.

There are lots of places that hold water, make a thorough investigation of your yard, even bottle caps can hold enough water to have them breed.

If you are wanting to repel mosquitoes from you personally, get some tea tree oil (sold in the pharmacy area near anti-itch and antibiotic creams) and use a cotton ball to apply it to your arms, legs and neck. I have mosquitoes attacking me all the time when I am doing yard work, but by applying the tea tree oil it stinks enough to keep them away. Also it is good for itching of fire ant bites or any kind of bug bites.
