What is attracting tiny flying bugs to my house?

Every now and then I notice a tiny like gnat flying around in the house. Any ideas what they could be coming from?

    If you have houseplants they are fungus gnats.Fungus Gnats Management Guidelines--UC IPM

    There are also drain flies. Try closing all the drains in your house unless using the faucet and see if that does it.

    Every summer in ms I, mother in law, even my neighbors have complained of gnats around kitchen. Hence drain flies. Just in a fluke after spraying flying insect spray to no avail husband sprayed some bengal roach spray as it was all he had and you guessed it no more drain flies and haven’t had them since he sprayed it that’s been 2 months now.
