Hi Luz. I'm Cindy. The biggest bang for your buck is with paint. We recently painted our bathroom dark gray with white trim. I love these colors together. They make a timeless look. Don't forget the ceiling. Paint it white, same color as the trim. If you need to change the floor, you could lay peel-and-stick tiles. They are easy to install and very inexpensive. The shower curtain could also be changed at this point. And buy towels that go together with the shower curtain. Good luck Luz.

Luz, I need a couple of important things from you before giving you an answer on this one:

    • a good photo of the "Before" bathroom
    • an idea of what you want the "After" bathroom to be
    • a Budget of what you have to spend

    Hi Luz,

Cindy gave you some really good suggestions with painting and accessories.

If you are talking about a full scale remodeling, that would take some planning with a contractor (an example would be removing a tub and or putting in only a shower/removing appliances and replacing). They would have the tools and skill set to do this and could offer you suggestions on what would work based on your ideas and money to invest.

Hi Luz. When I did a fast cheap update I painted, refinished the vanity, added new hardware, new lights, and put in a new floor. I found the flooring on clearance at a local hardware store.
