How can I kill weeds without killing the ivy?
I have a rock garden with lots of ivy as ground cover. How do I kill the weeds but not the ivy?

You probably can't kill only the weeds, anything you would use as a spray on would kill everything, it might be best to just pull them out as much as you can. The only other way I could think of is to isolate the weed with a plastic milk carton with the bottom cut out. Put the milk carton over the weed and spray white vinegar in the top opening, this is how you protect your plant. Best to you.

Spray vinegar or use boiling water on the weeds. Ivy is prolific and will grow back in no time .
Hi I used vinegar and it spread and kill my ivy. .it killed the poison ivy and the ivy is just starting to come back. .that was last summer I did it. .be careful with the vinegar. .
