Try a product called 'Terro'. Works every time for me!

Mix equal parts sugar & Borax place on small paper plates, coffee filters or flatten cup cake paper. Set these around the areas you see them [for outside]. Set back and wait. Also Terro liquid ant baits they are pre-filled containers that work very well inside. We buy these at Ace. You just have to wait till they carry these back to nest so it kills them all. Also wipe counters and floor areas with white vinegar to clean up there trails.

I have had really good success with a product called Terro, available at diy stores in the pest control section, just follow the package directions.
