Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and use it to directly spray any spiders you see. Vinegar contains acetic acid which burns the spider upon contact. Vacuum. To kill one or just a few spiders efficiently, use a vacuum cleaner.

I have two new rescue dogs so I no longer use insect traps but they are great. I got them at Walmart. You get 4 in a package and they are just a glue on thick papery substance. I just laid mine flat on the floor by the front door where the dusk to dawn light was shining all night long and the spiders were coming out at night. I was shocked how many I caught in a week. I don't put them down anymore because it would be painful for a dog or cat to get stuck on one, it might pull off a layer of skin on their sensitive noses. If you have a place where no kids or pets are this is a good deal. Less than 4 dollars for 4 traps. They are meant to be "tented" up when in use but I just put mine flat on the floor. You will catch MORE than just spiders.

Most spiders are beneficial, eating unwanted bugs/pests. So I definitely wouldn’t use harsh chemicals.

  • Hi Dennis - We use this spray in conjunction with our swiffer and in addition to be a great duster spray, it helps to keep spiders and other buggies at a minimum. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
