How do I get rid of low spots in our yard?

Every time it rains we have a low spot which turns into a little lake and this year being exceptionally wet, we only have dirt there, no grass . Also a ditch has developed over time because of a tree removal and it is causing run off onto neighbor's yard.

Use top soil to fill and level your yard. Then reseed.
I would amend the soil to improve drainage with some sand. Kill any moss with Moss Out. Then have the lawn aerated in the fall to increase drainage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpX9328-KKo
If there is a lot of water running down onto your property, I would install a french drain. You could also do this to the area where the water is draining onto neighbors property.

I would put gravel there. It will keep soil from eroding and keep the mud problem down. If you want it to look green, you could plant some ground cover that loves moisture around in the gravel to cover it. Like a dry bed garden.
