How can I clean out the odor from the washing machine?

How do I get sour smell out of my front load washing machine. I leave the door open between use and still it has developed the “smell”. Yuk!

I used a cleaner special made for front load machine. It was called Afresh. I also ran an empty wash with just bleach occasionally then lightly wiped out and left the door open to dry. I never had problems. Have you cleaned around the rubber seal?
Hi Carol,
Check behind the rubber door sealer. It's been found that sometimes mold gets behind that sealer and causes a smell. Clean that out regularly with vinegar and water for regular maintenance. Wishing you the best.
