How do I get rid of flies in my house?

I live in the Caribbean and within recent times there are lots of flies inside my house. I do not have any pets or fruit trees. I spray a lot of fly spray but that just kills some and others come. My house is cleaned and mopped.

How do I get rid of these flies with a homemade remedy?

Keep garbage in sealed bags inside of covered garbage cans. Store the garbage cans as far away from your home as possible.

Other organic items, like animal poop, should not be allowed to pile up in your yard.

If your garbage becomes infested with maggots, get rid of it right away.

Spoiled food inside your home should be thrown away immediately. Chances are flies have already laid eggs in it, and maggots are on the way.

Keep flies out of your home by sealing up any entry points.

Had the same problem, I did three things. Made sure any holes in our window screens were patched or replaced, I put fans in all of the rooms, I do make sure trash is out in the kitchen 2-3 times daily. We cut down on the flies by 95%. Good luck.

I swear by the old fashion round fly strips you push into the ceiling, just be sure its an area you won't walk into. They also make clear fly strips you put on the window for flies that gather there. Then there is the recycled soda bottle trao, I use salad shrimp... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMcae4QACy4&t=54s

I mixed a drop of soap with a cup of apple vinegar. Left it on the counter and it killed the little fruit flies I had. No pesticides used :))
