How do I prep kitchen countertops for painting?
I am going to try and paint my kitchen counter with a granite kit. i currently have laminate countertops and they have seams in them. How do i prep the countertops to make them smooth for the paint?

Terri the best thing is to read what prep is necessary from the kit. Starting with a clean countertop, usually you have to rough it up with sandpaper to make paint adhere. Good luck!

I’ve used these kits before... They are easy and look fabulous! The paint or material will cover seams really well and all that is required is a light sanding on the countertop to rough up the surface. The base coat in the kit is actually what binds the paint to the countertop. I hope this helps!
